Bangya is the term for a Visual Kei fangirl. The word is an abbreviation of "bando gyaru" (バンドギャル) which directly translates to band girl in English. Gya, is commonly use in the fandom to refer to fans.

 

Fanboys are know as "bangyao" (バンギャ男).
